My kid's love book's and it seems like now more then ever they love to sit down with me and my husband and they enjoy reading with us. I am glad they love books so much and glad we get some great ones to review. As soon as we get a new box and I open it and they see it's a new book they get so excited and they are ready for me to read to them. This book Hugo the Happiest Starfish the secret to happiness by Suzy Liebermann is a great read it is about this little Starfish, Hugo, is really cute in the coloful illustrations. You meet his wise old friend Manta Ray.
This story is about a starfish that is on the search for true happiness. He finds happiness for a hour, a day, a week, but it never makes him truly happy. Manta Ray helps Hugo find what he is looking for. The message of this book is really good it says that true happiness is sharing yourself with others. It is a really great message.
My kid's really loved this story and I think the colors in the book are really vibrant and pretty. I think because it's in the water my little 4 year old loved it the most. She has been really into mermaid's and this under the water book reminded her of this. They make a series of these books. The series supports IB Learner profiles and attitudes of the International Baccalaureate.
