Firefly February National Children's Dental Health Month Review

Did you know that February is National Children's Oral Health Month and that is special to Firefly the iconic light up toothbrush that uses fun to motivate kids to brush longer and better. I know with my kid's they love these toothbrushes and the light makes it more fun for them to use. Firefly has always championed this important awareness program, but 2014 makes an even greater commitment. Specifically, the brand is partnering with Oral Health America "OHA" and is donating thousands of toothbrushes to underserved children through OHA's Smiles across America program.

Firefly's/Angry Birds

Anti-Cavity Mouth Rinse

For the month of February I wanted to talk to you about how important oral care is. It is very important to keep up with all your dental cleanings every six months and keep up the maintenance. As me being a former dental assistant for 10+ years. The more you stay up with your cleanings the better chance you have of not getting cavities or problems with your teeth. And it is very important to take your child for regular cleanings also. I would start taking your child as young as age 1 1/2 just to get them familiar with the dental office more then likely they will just count the teeth and simple stuff like that.

An excellant adjunct to regular, through brushing and flossing, the sugar-free and alcohol-free formula features fluoride to help strengthen tooth enamel and prevent decay. With the premise of providing "Good Clean Fun" to family's everywhere and trying to get kid's into good oral care routines early on.

OraMD Review

I have to say being a previous Dental Assistant for 10 years. I was a little skeptical about using OraMD but to my surprise the first thing that caught my attention was the fresh clean feeling it gives your mouth. Plus that is all natural no fluoride, no chemicals, No GMO's, No additives, and it's made from peppermint, spearmint, and almond oils. My teeth felt really polished and shiny. It's a 3 in 1 toothpaste, mouthwash, and breath freshener in one. After I used this product my breath stayed fresh for hours. I  am in love with this and will definitely purchase more. When you first use this stuff it is pretty strong almost to the point to where it is burning and I only used 2 drops on toothbrush just be wear of that but it gets better and this stuff is amazing!! It helps to fight plaque, tarter, and eliminate bad breath and support healthy teeth.

OraMD has been scientifically formulated from 3
botanical oils:

Peppermint: Effective against 22 bacterial strains in laboratory studies. Possesses highly potent antimicrobial, antibacterial, and anti fungal properties.

Spearmint: Anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and anti-spasmodic properties. The antibacterial effects have been found to be very potent against the proliferation of several pathogenic bacteria.

Almond: Acts as an emollient for the other two oils. Almond oil is an excellent carrier oil.

There are 100’s of types of these 3 botanical oils and dozens of properties for each type – literally, millions of combinations. This is a scientific formula matching the right properties of the right oils and designed specifically to combat plaque and tartar build-up in your mouth. The botanical oils are naturally anti-bacterial, eliminating the need for chemical alternatives. There is nothing like it on the market – it’s fast, effective, and leaves a real fresh, clean feeling in your mouth unlike any you’ve experienced before.

I really do love this product and will continue to use this product!!
